Science Of The Circus

Learning sneaks up on kids when they’re laughing! This performance teaches the main concepts of elementary science curriculum through physical comedy and the circus arts. Does a cup of water twirled around speedily in a billiard triangle stay put because of centrifugal force, or centripetal force? How can stacked objects not crash to the ground, somehow overcoming the law of gravity? Your students will know after this show, which covers such principles as the Laws of Motion, rotational velocity, gravity, simple machines, states of matter and more. Students will also learn how these performers have turned these concepts of science into live performance pieces that can be performed worldwide. Students will get a chance to see how the arts can be utilized to create excitement and fun and shared experience among all types of children.
